Dato Seri Amirudin Shari, Menteri Besar Selangor, officially opened the Selangor Aviation Show 2021 today (SAS2021). The inaugural SAS2021, which will take place on November 25-27, 2021, is expected to be one of the region’s first in-person Air Shows since the pandemic struck in 2020.
SAS2021 is part of Invest Selangor’s initiative to help the aerospace industry recover from the devastating effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. It is hosted by the Selangor State Government, organised by Invest Selangor Bhd, supported by MATRADE and its strategic partner, the Ministry of International Trade And Industry, and the National Aerospace Industry Coordinating Office (NAICO).
SAS2021, themed “Selangor, the Asean Business and General Aviation Hub,” is focusing on the Business and General Aviation industry, particularly in Selangor, because global data has shown that this sector of the aerospace industry is more resilient to pandemics and recovers more quickly.
