Recently on Twitter, there was a debate on whether men wearing sunscreen would make them feminine or gay. It all started with a netizen asking if he would need to reapply sunscreen throughout the day, and another ‘toxic masculinity’ person replied ‘be a man, don’t use sunscreen’.

A man in the military replied saying that he uses sunscreen, and it doesn’t make him feel less of a man to do so. He further mentioned that using sunscreen has a lot of health benefits, especially for someone in his field. Being outdoors all day long in the scorching sun will damage your skin.

Another netizen replied asking if its gay to prevent getting skin cancer. Is sunscreen that threatening to someone being masculine or feminine? It’s a personal choice if someone decides to use sunscreen or not, regardless of the choices, nobody should attack one another for it.
