The Huanan Seafood Wholesale Market in Wuhan, China, was determined by researchers to be a likely origin source for the Covid pandemic early on in the outbreak, according to peer-reviewed papers published in Science.
According to studies, Covid-19 was found in live animals that were caged and prepared for sale to clients, and the virus was spread when those infected animals were sold.
Evolutionary biologist Michael Worobey who helped search for the virus origins has this to say: “So if the pandemic didn’t start at the market, one of the first five or 10 people infected in the world was at the market. And how do you explain that?”
