The wife of a federal minister has been named as the owner of two companies accused of misappropriating funds for the RM9 billion LCS project.
The wife’s company was hired as technical consultants and spare part suppliers, and she was sent invoices for work that was never completed, says Rafizi Ramli, the Keadilan deputy leader.
Rafizi stated in a statement that as a result, up to RM243 million was misappropriated and he claimed that the schemes to divert LCS funds through companies linked to the then-deputy defence minister were not a coincidence.
