Unfortunately, this hurts the artists and their small businesses. Furthermore, most of the time, the copied result is not as fabulous as the original one. Mainly due to the big price gap. This business owner (the original designed dress) cost about US $300 and the copier is selling it for US $50.
Many supported the designer for her work and gave massive support. Especially with the fact that it is an independent Black owned business. Customers who purchased from the brand posted their satisfaction from buying their clothes and applauded them for carrying many larger sizes.
