MELAKA, 6 SEPTEMBER 2022 – As part of its quest totransform Melaka into a centre of excellence, Sheng Tai International Sdn Bhd (Sheng Tai International), an award-winning property company that specialises in property tourism, today signed a landmark Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with New Era University College (NEUC) and Dong Jiao Zong Education Center (Dong Zong).
Through this MoA, the three parties will jointly set up a new education centre, LSL ERA training centre. The training centre will provide professional and diploma courses in various fields, including culinary, home economics and hospitality-related. Students who successfully finish a one-year culinary course will be presented with a foreign university credential.
LSL ERA Training Centre is scheduled to open at Metrasquare, Ayer Keroh, by the 3rd quarter of 2023.
Representing Sheng Tai International in the signing event and exchange of documents was Dato’ Leong Sir Ley, Founder and Chairman of Sheng Tai International. While New Era University College was represented by Professor Dr Mok Soon Chong, Vice-Chancellor/ Chief Executive Officer of NEUC.
Dato’ Leong Sir Ley of Sheng Tai International said, “Sheng Tai International is pleased to work with leading private higher education institutions like NEUC and Dong Zong to offer professional courses across various fields.
“We believe that this partnership will take Melaka’s education to the next level, creating many new opportunities for both local and international students.”
“As a start, the centre will offer cooking and hospitality management courses, synergising with Sheng Tai International’s five-star hotel, Ames Hotel, that is within the area. More courses to follow in the near future, including artificial intelligence, health care, agriculture and fashion.”
Dato’ Leong added that the employment prospects of the graduates are promising. “As a company with global offices in many parts of the world like Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong and Japan, we will be able to provide employment opportunities for the graduates. Our business is expanding day by day. Thus, there is always a need for qualified and diverse talents.”
