Ex-PMs Muhyiddin Yassin and Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad are in limbo after the idea of a ‘big tent’ proposed by some in the PH failed lamentably, but with good reasons. One of the reasons is that PKR deputy president Rafizi Ramli rejects the idea.
He is supported by Nurul Izzah Anwar, PKR’s vice-president, who on Wednesday said firmly that PH would not work with Muhyiddin or Dr Mahathir in the next election. She made it clear the PH coalition does “not be bitten by the snake again” and to avoid another “betrayal episode”.
The big tent approach is the only hope for Mahathir and Muhyiddin to get back into the folds of the PH which remains the biggest opposition group in Malaysia.
