According to court documents from Los Angeles, USA, obtained on Sunday, a nurse facing murder charges for causing the deaths of six people was actually driving 130mph – 40mph faster than previously thought – and had accelerated just before the crash.
Nicole Linton’s defence claimed she briefly lost consciousness during the August crash, but surveillance footage and data from her Mercedes showed she had full control to drive straight into an intersection with “NASCAR-worthy performance.”
Linton is charged with six counts of murder and five counts of vehicular manslaughter, including the deaths of a pregnant woman, her 11-month-old son, and her partner.
