It’s not yet over for Umno leader Ahmad Zahid Hamidi. The prosecution or the AG has filed an appeal notice in the graft case in which he was acquitted of 40 corruption charges last week, an anonymous source confirmed to a Singapore-based portal,

Zahid was acquitted of all 40 graft charges by the Shah Alam High Court on Friday and Judge Mohd Yazid Mustafa ruled that the prosecution had failed to establish a prima facie case against the latter thus ordering his discharge and acquittal.

One of the primary reasons why the prosecution’s case against Zahid failed was the lack of credibility of three key witnesses, in particular.
