Malaysia is one of the best countries in the world to live in, yet at times there are weird discrepancies. This is one of the better examples of those discrepancies. According to Word Of Buzz, a student who received a 3.95 CGPA was rejected by local universities, but the universities in the UK wanted him.
Under the university placement site called UPU, they claimed that he was unsuccessful in his applications to local universities. Furthermore, the student is a Bumiputera. Another student who received 3.92 CGPA also complained that they could not get any local placements.
Netizens stated that students who got between 2.3 and 3.5 in their CGPAs can enrol into local universities successfully. Others claimed to have a 4.0 CGPA yet had no offers from any universities to continue their studies. It is unclear what the Ministry of Education is currently doing, but it’s certainly strange.
