Anwar Ibrahim recently made a statement that he will focus on contesting seats that are currently held by ‘traitors.’ He aims to make the message clear to all whether they are still in his Pakatan Harapan party or those that betrayed him that it is not cool to do so.
A netizen commented that it would be a waste of potential and resources if he still is contesting in a ‘safe’ seat. PH would need to claw for every seat they can get for the upcoming general elections.
That view is common among most PH supporters. Others claim that Azmin Ali may contest for another seat that would not threaten his win as Gombak is considered as a sure win for Anwar Ibrahim’s party.
