The British press regarded Chanel’s new ready-to-wear 2023 collection as ageless, timeless and chic. The brand’s head of fashion subtly jabbed at other brands namely Balenciaga for opening with Kanye West as controversy.
The luxury house has ironically faced controversies of their own in the past few months with their quality control issues. The deception of the Chanel show, it was like a movie and the attendees were sitting in front of a screen showing clips of the show.
Models wearing their new collection were walking in front of the audience though. Many regarded the new collection as a throwback of the Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly days. The collection itself is based on their 1961 collection.
