Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob made it clear that it is him and no one else (not party members or party president) who can decide on the day when the Parliament will be dissolved.
In a media statement, the PM says he is the one who can advise the King on the dissolution of the Parliament. The Prime Minister is facing intense pressure from his party to dissolve the Parliament immediately but it appears the PM is reluctant to do so.
The Parliament is still in seating and the Budget 2023 is still scheduled for tabling the Minister of Finance is also preparing to make his Budget speech this Friday, Oct 7.
