The Malaysian Cabinet has a greed in principle to get rid of the palang at toll gates meaning there will be free flow lanes and this may happen as soon as 2025!
That is good news given the massive traffic clot that is created at toll gates every time during peak hours, causing delays and jams and raising the level of impatience among local drivers.
Works minister Fadillah Yusof says there will be no palang or boom gates and that negotiations are to be held with concessionaire to make life better for drivers on highways. It is called the Multi-lane Free FLow.
