On Thursday afternoon, Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob met with the King, but against all speculations, there were no discussions on the dissolution of Parliament.
After the meeting with the King, the PM was holed up at the headquarters of the ruling Umno party after leaving the palace and after that, we are yet to hear whether there will be a dissolution of the Parliament, soon.
While now we know that ending the parliamentary term was not discussed during the King’s audience, it appears that the PM is standing his ground and not bending to the ruling party’s pressure to hold elections just yet.
