Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad says he is contesting in the general elections that will probably be held in November. He adds that he is willing to work with Anwar in deal but there are no signs of responses from the PKR leader, so far.
At the ripe old age of 9 the two-time Malaysian Prime Minister will probably be one of the oldest, if not the oldest candidate in these elections. It would also be his last electoral campaign, perhaps.
Mahathir will defend the Langkawi seat which he won in 2018. Mahathir also say the elections will be held close to the monsoon season and this is a dirty trick from Umno.
