Arrival Car Zone D at the CIQ checkpoint will be closed for renovation for an undetermined period, starting from Oct. 26 says a Facebook post from the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority.
The post on the official Facebook page says the closure of the car arrival zone will last until all renovation works are completed but did not specify how long will that take.
It says that counters at Zones A, B and C will remain in operation as usual and alternatively, people can also enter Malaysia via the Sultan Abu Bakar Complex which is accessible from Tuas, ICA adds.
Earlier this month, the Sultan Iskandar Building announced that the automated customs clearance system would be suspended for nearly a month, until November 10.
