New Singapore MRT Trains Blinds Windows at Residential Areas

1 min read

Singapore has always been regarded as one of the most forward countries in Southeast Asia when it comes to technology. Their MRTs garnered more attention recently due to its newest feature where the train windows would be digitally blocked out when passing through apartment blocks.

Some netizens complained that they’d prefer an uninterrupted view while looking out train windows. However, they were shut down by others as the privacy of the residents in those apartment blocks is more important as their activities might be visible to passengers.

Furthermore, another netizen confused Singapore and Japan. Either that, or they were not happy that Singapore uses English as a main language. Regardless, other netizens bashed that particular person for their statement.
