Raid On KL LGBT Halloween Party

Some 20 people were arrested for cross-dressing and allegedly encouraging vice but were later released after the Islamic religious officers broke up a large Halloween party attended by the LGBT community on Sunday.

Reports say some 40 religious officers backed by the police came into the venue, where some 1,000 participants were having a gay time at the LGBT Halloween Party and party-goers were divided into two groups – Muslims and followers of other faiths.

20 Muslims were taken to the Federal Territories Islamic Religious Department where “our identity details were recorded and after their release, were asked to return next week for questioning.
