The tech giant Apple has been fined by the Brazilian government for only $19 million. The main reason is due to them not providing a charging brick in their iPhone boxes. The consumer rights in Brazil is considered to be top notch after this ordeal.
A netizen pointed out that Apple makes $150 million a day, and that fine is just pocket change for the tech giant. Furthermore, it is said that Apple products are nearly double the price for each devices when compared to Malaysia.
According to 9to5mac in 2021, Brazil had the most expensive price list for the iPhone 13 model. It started at $1446 usd, which was RM6,850 when in Malaysia the phone cost around RM3,800 back then.
