All Show of Public Affection is Banned at World Cup

Qatar is organising the World Cup which starts in less than 15 days on 20 November and the country has imposed a blanket ban on public affection between men and women, gays and LGBTs.

In an interview, the Foreign Minister of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al Thani said public displays of affection are banned hence those who are from the LGBT group travelling to Qatar are now warned.

Pressed on previous comments that fans will be allowed to hold hands, he says: “Holding hands is not a public display of affection as far as I know.” So, public affection is banned, hugs by gays are banned, and hugs by men and women are banned too!
