The police say it detained a man after it was claimed that he threatened Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah regarding the choice of prime minister in the wake of the hung Parliament that followed the 15th general elections.

Arjunaidi Mohamed, the chief of Selangor’s police, said that at 10.52 p.m. on Nov. 21, authorities received a report that the suspect had complained on social media about the king and an unspecified corrupt organization.
Following the elections, the police found social media posts that addressed racial and religious sensitivities, according to IGP Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani on Monday.
