In our survey of experts on finance, we heard that PKR’s deputy leader, Rafizi Ramli is well-known for his integrity and that could be a very important factor in PM Anwar Ibrahim’s picking for a new Minister of Finance for Malaysia.
While some experts believe he is still untested and did not make revealing statements on how to run Malaysia’s finance, others believe Rafizi’s integrity wins it all. He has the lead over other names that are floating around for the post, including a possible return of Tengku Zafrul Tengku Aziz whom experts say is not great in the role of Minister of Finance.

Nevertheless, Rafizi has unquestionable integrity, a solid commitment to good governance and proven business acumen. With his intelligence, diligence and professionalism, he just needs to surround himself with good economic advisors to take on the finance minister’s role not forgetting that he will have the PM who was once voted the best finance minister to be his mentor.
