The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security announced said today that it has approved the air entry of chicken eggs from India in a trial phase, with a large shipment landing at Kuala Lumpur International Airport this morning.
According to a statement, the ministry has imported chicken eggs from other countries to compensate for the country’s recent supply shortage.
The ministry also stated that it permitted the import of eggs in order to test whether the imported items met all of the standards established and that it granted temporary permission for the entry of chicken eggs from outside sources.
