Speaking on the concept of paradigm shift practiced for a long time in Malaysia now, PM Anwar Ibrahim says the concept is seen as unbalanced and leaves (the welfare of the) people out. For that matter, the country should stop enriching the rich, right?

For that matter, he says, it needs to be given a new lease of life because there is no point in developing mega projects and developments, but at the same time not looking at the plight of the people out there.

“Do we want to allow mega projects but at the time we don’t see the plight of the people out there. We develop the country with projects and industry but at the same time we do not give low wages to workers and do not deserve it,” he said when speaking at the New Year 2023 Munajat Program at the Putra Mosque.

He said, the government wants to ensure that the job opportunities offered to the people are no longer seen as degrading dignity and moral values, but instead are done in a harmonious manner.
