PAS President Abdul Hadi Awang says the party’s distribution of cash to voters during the 15th General Election was a charitable act and therefore not prohibited by electoral law.
He stated that according to election law, candidates or their representatives cannot give out cash money, but it is up to the public to give alms.

However, the Terengganu Umno chief, Ahmad Said, had raised allegations that PAS had bribed voters by distributing financial aid from the state government through the i-Pension, i-Belia, and i-Student initiatives between November 15 and 17, 2022, just a few days before the General Election.
