A writer in a local online paper has attacked ex-PM Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad for his constant attacks against PM10 Anwar Ibrahim, leading to a question whether Mahathir is able to contribute to the development of Malaysia with concrete ideas or not? He seems so good at criticising though.
Nevertheless, the writer says Mahathir’s emphasis on industrial development has had a detrimental impact on food security in the country. The shortage of basic food items such as eggs and chicken in local markets is a direct result of his neglect of the agriculture sector during his tenure.
Concrete Ideas
However, it is important to note that it is not possible for Malaysia to progress without Mahathir, whom the writer says has several failures under his belt as Prime Minister. “Instead of criticizing, it would be more productive to suggest constructive ideas and solutions to address the current challenges faced by the country in 2023, particularly the economic crisis. It is important to focus on finding solutions rather than engaging in political debates at this difficult time,” says the writer.
