A recent viral post on Twitter shows that a kid who answered the maths question correctly still received a 0 for that question. The question was a relatively simple question where multiplication and divisions may be involved in it.
Kid answered correctly but was still marked as wrong
Netizens are making jokes out of this ordeal but some were concerned on why the kid essentially got 0 marks for that question. Some speculated that it could be the fact that his methods of achieving the answer were wrong, and thus the examiner marked it as wrong.
School mathematics is a tricky part of a kid’s life. Even if the answer is right, it does not mean that you will get marks for it. The main purpose of mathematics in school is for you to follow the methods on to achieve the answer.
