Nurul Izzah is not appointed as PM Anwar Ibrahim’s Economic and Financial Advisor to get projects and make money, says the PM in defence of his decision to appoint his daughter at the hotly contested post by some netizens, politicians and opponents.
Anwar also says this is not nepotism, because it will be nepotism if there is abuse of power and greed to get contracts from which the family member will earn money and become rich.
Nurul Izzah, who have not commented on the appointment, did not respond to criticism so far but said she is doing the job pro-bono.
