Rinani Group Bhd, a financial consulting firm, has acquired Kuala Lumpur City FC, the Asian Football Confederation’s second-best team and four-time champion of the Piala Malaysia.
The company Director Azri Azerai welcomes the club to the Rinani family and looks forward to KL City FC continuing its success with the support of its fans. The acquisition is part of the Malaysian Football League’s process of privatizing state-owned football clubs and aligns with FIFA and AFC’s directives for these teams to be professionally managed, privately financed and independently owned.
KL City FC recently won the Federal Territory Minister’s Trophy and hosted a match that ended in a 3-0 victory. (ACN Newswire)
