PM Anwar Ibrahim and the Thai prime minister will meet to discuss joint efforts in promoting economic growth along the shared border and to look into accelerating efforts to reach a bilateral trade target of US$30 billion (one trillion baht) by 2025.
The focus will be on integrating development in the southernmost Thai provinces and Malaysian states. This meeting is expected to strengthen the relationship between the two countries and foster economic cooperation.
