The Minister of Economy, Rafizi Ramli, has stated that the government is working on finding alternative ways to aid those facing financial difficulties due to the rising cost of living, without requiring them to withdraw their savings from the EPF.

He announced that the government will announce measures in the 2023 Budget to help the B40 group, specifically in generating additional income without dipping into their EPF.

Savings Intact

Rafizi emphasized the importance of keeping EPF money intact for old age, as the cost of living in old age will continue to rise. He stated that the government has a responsibility to ensure as many people as possible have savings for their old age.
