Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah in a Royal Decree in conjunction with the Opening Ceremony of the Second Term of the 15th Parliament this morning congratulated Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim on the establishment of the Unity Government and the Malaysia Madani initiative.
His Majesty says he wanted all parties to open their hearts and accept and respect the results of the 15th General Election (GE15). “I appreciate the introduction of Madani’s national initiative which includes aspects of sustainability; well-being; creativity; respect; confidence; courtesy and mercy.
He says he hopes that these principles are translated well in the framework of creating a leap for the country, and supports the gov’ts plans to stop leakage of public funds, including the initiative to speed up the mechanism for providing targeted subsidies in an effort to face global economic challenges, post-Covid-19 economic uncertainty as well as inflationary pressures that increase the cost of living.
