A 1-metre meteoroid struck Earth’s atmosphere over France in the early hours of Feb. 13, exploding in an incident that happens several times a year but rarely captured on camera although they are rarely discovered in advance, American physicist and professor Mark Boslough, said according to Wales Online,

On the other hand in a Twitter post, the European Space Agency says this is only the seventh time an asteroid impact has been discovered before it happens. In olden days, this event is a sign of bad omen for the places where it is seen by the naked eye.
