Each government that comes in power would tend to spend money on advertising campaigns for their governance. This is true for all political parties world wide as advertising would help them generate more audiences which would then turn to more votes.

He, who appears to be calm and composed for most of the time, our former Prime Minister Ismail Sabri apparently spent a whopping RM60 million on campaigns. Even Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin spent a significant amount less than him.
Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim spent RM400,000 for the last two to three months on advertising, which seems to be in the sweet middle ground. Furthermore, it appears that social media marketing is one of the best ways for political parties to generate more votes.
