Police Bodycams Installed Soon. No Comprises Say Saifuddin

Home Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail has indicated that his instructions are straightforward when it comes to installing body cameras (bodycams) for police officers: do so as soon as possible, without making any sacrifices.

The specifications for the cameras that must be purchased are still being established, though. Saifuddin was quoted by a local portal as saying Wednesday (Feb. 15) in Putrajaya, “My orders are straightforward, which is that it needs to be done as soon as possible without compromising any concept of transparency in the procurement.”

The stage of developing specifications that meet our demands is still being completed, hence the procurement has not yet been completed.
