The news about Kuala Terengganu’s porn habits resurfaced again after PAS’ infamous cosplay coupled with Pulau being banned in cinemas across the state. Netizens are calling out the full irony of the state government banning a local production while their own people are watching films that are obviously more vulgar.
Kuala Terengganu watches more porn than KL?
Some netizens are defending the state against the recent statistics on pornography consumption, claiming that it was given during Barisan Nasional’s rule. Meanwhile, another Twitter user made a humorous remark that one doesn’t need to watch Pulau when they have unrestricted access to PornHub.
According to a local newspaper, Kuala Lumpur ranked second for the highest duration spent browsing pornography among internet users with 12:29 minutes. Kota Baru and Miri followed closely with 12:27 minutes each. Additionally, the average time spent browsing pornography in these four cities exceeded the Malaysian average of 12:05 minutes.
In another report, the Philippines emerged as one of the top countries with the highest or longest duration spent on Pornhub, according to Pornhub’s statistics.
Others did say that whatever someone does in private is a different issue. Watching what is deemed to be soft pornography in cinemas is another story. Netizens did ask why PAS has been silent all this while about this.
