Salahuddin’s Heartwarming Gesture: Serving ‘Menu Rahmah’ to MPs

The Minister of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Salahuddin Ayub is planning to serve the Members of Parliament and their staff with Rahmah Menu in a heartwarming gesture. This will teach some rogue MPs what the food tastes.

This government initiative, Menu Rahmah, offers lunch and dinner consisting of white rice, chicken or fish and vegetables, for a maximum price of RM5 to help the less fortunate.

However, this initiative sparked controversy when it was linked to health risks such as cancer and autism by a Member of Parliament, which drew criticism from various NGOs and individuals with medical backgrounds who deemed the statement an insult to people with disabilities (OKU).
