Mydin collaborates with 53 suppliers through its social responsibility initiative, Mydin Prihatin, to raise RM300,000 for the underprivileged. With increasing yearly donations, the program not only supports suppliers but gives back to those in need.
Mydin’s donation fund for the underprivileged
Mydin’s Managing Director, Datuk Wira Dr. Ameer Ali Mydin, reported a growth from RM50,000 in the first year to RM250,000 last year, demonstrating Mydin’s commitment to increasing donations. Mydin Prihatin partners with NGOs, the Social Welfare Department, and others to distribute aid to the underprivileged effectively.
It allows corporations to provide targeted support and maintain charitable efforts. Donations result from purchases, e-wallet transactions, and Meriah Card members redeeming reward points at the store branches, enabling buyers to contribute to Mydin Prihatin.
