Qatari banker Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani is the frontrunner to acquire Manchester United, ahead of Sir Jim Ratcliffe. Thani’s Nine Two Foundation representatives are scheduled to meet with the club’s executives this week.
Glazers prefer Sheikh Jassim over Jim Ratcliffe
The Glazers reportedly favour Sheikh Jassim for his potential to bring business opportunities to the American owners in his region. Uefa’s President, Aleksander Ceferin, hinted that rules barring clubs with the same owners from participating in the same European competition may change.
