The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has a conviction rate of 89.2 percent from 2018 to February 2023, according to government statistics.

In a written reply to Parliament, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Azalina Othman Said disclosed that during this period, the anti-corruption agency opened 4,616 investigation papers, resulting in 2,194 charges filed in court, with 1,234 convictions. However, she did not reveal the number of pending court cases.
Azalina provided a table on the percentage of MACC’s win-lose cases, with scores of 90 percent or higher except for 2019. The 2019 percentage of wins was 78 cases, and the percentage of losses was 22 cases. The written reply was in response to a question from Hassan Abdul Karim during the committee-level debate for Budget 2023.
