Actor and director Syamsul Yusof has stated that his decision to file an application for ‘nusyuz’ (wife disobeying the husband) against his wife, Puteri Sarah Liyana, at the Gombak Timur Lower Syariah Court in Selangor is an attempt to save their marriage.
Represented by syarie lawyer Azmi Mohd Rais during the proceeding, the 39-year-old artiste explained that his action is not an act of revenge. According to Syamsul, he has kept things inside for a long time and did not want to talk about it, but he knows that his wife is in contact with her former lover, which has prompted him to take action.
Wife Cheating
The Mat Kilau director says that he couldn’t accept that his wife cheating and he had been reluctant to reveal this information.
“As a husband, I have kept my feelings hidden and have been embarrassed to talk about this. No husband can accept that his wife cheating, and with a married man no less,” Syamsul says, as reported by a local Malay portal.
