Perikatan Nasional (PN) has been reminded that their real duty as the opposition is to provide a process of checks and balances, instead of just creating chaos. The Director of Communication for Parti Amanah Negara (AMANAH), Khalid Samad said the opposition’s duty is not to think every day about how to topple the government that has received a mandate from the people.
PN seemingly not taking opposition role seriously
He added that when the election season returns, the essence of the check and balance process by the opposition against the previous government can be used to prove that they are capable of becoming the new government.
Khalid also criticised the PN leaders for not understanding the role of the opposition and not having a clear understanding of parliamentary democracy.
