Maggi is a popular brand that originated in Switzerland in 1884, created by Swiss entrepreneur Julius Maggi with the goal of making nutritious food accessible to busy working families.
It started with powdered pea and bean soup and then expanded into instant soups and seasoning. Nestle acquired the brand in 1947, and Maggi became a global brand with branches in Germany, France, Italy, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
From Swiss Origin to Singapore
Maggi entered Singapore in the 1960s and has since expanded its product line to include noodles and culinary solutions. Today, Maggi is a well-known and loved brand across Asia with its own range of noodles for each local taste. And Malaysians love Maggi too but Singaporeans are stunned of its Swiss origin!
