There are a number of Malaysians applauding the coalition government for their efforts especially when attending parliament. Regardless of said parliament member being an opposition or governmental member, should parliament attendance be compulsory for them?

Malaysians complimenting PM Anwar’s parliament attendance

A netizen posted a photo of four politicians and their attendance in parliament. PM Anwar Ibrahim is the only one who attended every required day. Muhyiddin Yassin and Hadi Awang both did not attend the parliament sessions at all in March. Are Muhyiddin Yassin and Hadi Awang reliable people to lead the country when they can’t even attend a simple parliament session?

Furthermore, netizens are stating that Muhyiddin does not like parliament sessions. During the Covid-19 lockdowns, he made sure that as Prime Minister, these sessions are disbanded momentarily. To many, this shows the level of commitment he has in serving this country, regardless as our Prime Minister or an opposition leader.
