Belanjawanku recently made a study showing that each category of people living in Klang Valley needs more than it is expected to survive. For example, a person relying on public transportation and living alone would require almost RM2,000 a month to survive.
Klang Valley cost of living through the roof
The netizen that pointed out this study states that Alor Setar is the cheapest city for Malaysians to live in, with 21% lower costs. However, that could possibly be the reason that the salaries there are lower than what it is in Klang Valley.
Others state their advice towards other single people, citing that they should have less friends. This is due to them hanging out with their friends less and would be able to save a lot of money.
