The Malaysian Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs will unveil a list of 30 items under the Maximum Price Control Scheme during the upcoming Aidilfitri celebration on April 13. The list will include ingredients for traditional Eid cookies.

This initiative is meant to ensure that people can celebrate the occasion without worrying about the high cost of goods. The two-week price control implementation will begin on April 13, one week before Aidilfitri and one week after. The ministry has already noticed major supermarkets selling basic necessities at special prices, although the specific prices have not been announced.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security has confirmed that there will be enough egg supply during the festive season, and the ministry will keep monitoring the situation. Chicken prices will also remain at the ceiling price, according to the Minister.
