Tragic end for lorry driver

A driver lost his life after his lorry plunged into the sea at Lumut Port in Perak. The incident happened around 9.30am on Wednesday (5 April) when the driver was reversing his vehicle to unload goods at the port. According to Harian Metro, the driver was identified as 38-year-old Mohd Firdaus Mohd Zainal Abidin from Kampung Teluk Muroh. He was believed to have dozed off behind the wheels and lost control of his lorry.

Tragic End

The lorry crashed through the barrier and fell into the sea, trapping the driver inside. A rescue operation was launched by the Fire and Rescue Department, the Marine Police and the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency.
