A man in China has been sentenced to prison for scaring 1,100 chickens to death as part of his revenge plan against his neighbor.
The dispute between the two neighbors had been ongoing since April 2022 when the neighbor cut down the man’s trees without permission. The man sneaked onto his neighbor’s chicken farm and used a flashlight to terrify the birds, causing them to kill each other.
Chickening Out?
He was ordered to pay 3,000 yuan (Rs 35,734) but continued seeking revenge and killed 640 birds the same way. The court sentenced him to six months in prison with one year of probation after he showed remorse.
