A devastating fire in the densely populated Taytay municipality in the Philippines claimed the lives of seven people, including two innocent children aged just two and twelve.

“They weren’t able to escape. They were trapped,” Taytay’s acting police chief Joel Custodio told AFP. “They were found hugging each other,” as the tragic fire kills.

Taytay’s acting police chief Joel Custodio revealed the heartbreaking discovery of the victims, found huddled together, unable to survive the suffocating smoke. The blaze left at least 60 families homeless.
